Tons of of Silicon Valley Pleasure Parade members marched down San Jose’s Market Avenue from Julian to San Fernando Avenue and stopped at Plaza de Cesar Chavez, the place distributors promoting garments, jewellery and extra gathered together with meals vehicles. Willie Gomez, a Latin singer, was Sunday’s headline act on stage.
Based on the SVPride.com web site, the competition and parade “began again in 1975 as a homosexual rights rally and developed into San Jose Pleasure Competition in 1976. The next 12 months, 1977 San Jose added its first parade to the celebration.” In 2014 the title was modified to Silicon Valley Pleasure Parade.
