
San Francisco firefighters rappelled down a cliff at Fort Funston on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, to rescue a trapped canine.
San Francisco Hearth Division firefighters rappelled down a cliff at Fort Funston Saturday afternoon to rescue a canine named Duke.
The tan and black combined breed canine fell partway down the steep cliff round 2:45 p.m., the division stated, and was caught clinging to a despair within the rocks.
A rescuer was lowered down the cliff to safe the canine in a harness and take it all the way down to the seaside safely. The ordeal was documented in pictures and a video on the division’s Twitter feed.
