Map: Earthquake felt at Lake Tahoe

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake Tuesday night in Alpine County was felt within the Lake Tahoe space.

The quake, at 5:41 p.m., was centered alongside Indian Creek, 3 miles south of Markleeville, the U.S. Geological Survey mentioned.

The epicenter is about 20 miles from Mono County’s Antelope Valley, web site of a magnitude 6 earthquake and several other 4+ aftershocks in July 2021.
