A San Jose girl was killed Monday when her bike hit a giant rig on a rural highway east of Watsonville, the California Freeway Patrol stated.
The crash was reported at 3:37 p.m. on Carlton Street close to Coward Street, within the Interlaken space. The lady was southbound on Carlton when she reportedly misplaced management at a bend within the highway, crossed into the other lane and hit a tractor-trailer rig.
The lady died on the scene. She was 30 years previous; her identify has not been launched. The truck’s driver and a passenger have been unhurt.
Carlton Street was closed for about 4 hours after the crash.
