Foothill-De Anza district fields 4 finalists to succeed chancellor

4 finalists have been chosen to succeed Judy Miner as chancellor of the Foothill-De Anza Group Faculty District. Miner is about to retire Sept. 1 after 35 years with the district and eight years as chancellor.

The finalists are Farouk Dey, vice provost of Johns Hopkins College; Lee Lambert, chancellor of Pima Group Faculty; Richard Storti, govt vice chancellor of administrative providers for the San Mateo Group Faculty District; and Rowena Tomaneng, president of San José Metropolis Faculty.

Previous to becoming a member of Johns Hopkins College in Baltimore because the inaugural vice provost for integrative studying and life design in 2018, Dey served as dean and affiliate vice provost of profession and experiential training at Stanford College. He holds doctorate levels in academic management from the College of Florida.

Chancellor at Pima Group Faculty in Tucson for almost 10 years, Lambert beforehand served as president of Shoreline Group Faculty in Washington. He holds a juris physician from Seattle College.

Previous to becoming a member of San Mateo County Group Faculty District in 2021 as govt vice chancellor of administrative providers, Storti served as deputy chancellor of West Hills Group Faculty District in Coalinga. He holds a doctorate diploma in training from the College of Southern California.

Now in her third yr as president at San José Metropolis Faculty, Tomaneng beforehand served as president of Berkeley Metropolis Faculty. She holds a doctorate diploma in worldwide multicultural training from the College of San Francisco.

A search committee made up of the district’s constituent teams really helpful the finalists after a nationwide search. The district’s board of trustees expects to finish the choice course of in June.
