WALNUT CREEK — A person escaped seize after robbing a financial institution within the metropolis’s downtown space Saturday morning, police stated.
Officers responded about 11:40 a.m. to the PNC Financial institution at 1101 S. California Blvd. after a hold-up alarm was reported, police spokesperson Lt. Ryan Hibbs stated in an announcement. The officers later decided that the suspect had handed a notice to a teller, demanding cash and saying he had a gun, Hibbs stated.
The teller gave the person an undisclosed amount of money, and he fled the shop, Hibbs stated. No one was injured.
Police didn't have an in depth description of the suspect however stated he wore a black-knitted cap, white facemask, sun shades, black jacket, light-colored pants and white-and-blue sneakers.
