Discovery Bay: County issues all-clear after law enforcement activity alert

DISCOVERY BAY — Contra Costa County issued an all-clear after briefly activating its countywide group warning system for unspecified law-enforcement exercise Sunday, authorities mentioned.

A social-media publish for the system alerted residents and followers at 4:43 p.m., asking them to shelter in place and keep away from the realm of Cabrillo Level west of Discovery Bay Boulevard.

A follow-up publish at 5:25 p.m. issued an all-clear, saying anybody close by might safely resume public exercise.

In a late Monday morning reply to a request for remark e-mailed Sunday night, a Contra Costa Sheriff’s Workplace spokesman mentioned sheriff’s deputies carried out a welfare test round 3:53 p.m. Sunday on the 4900 block of Cabrillo Level.
