Utah high school teacher accused of hitting student after drinking that morning

A highschool trainer was arrested Wednesday after college students say he received offended and hit a scholar and police say he had been ingesting.

Carlos Alfredo Castillo, 61, of Payson, was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of kid abuse and DUI.

On Wednesday, Salem police have been notified by "a number of college students" that "Castillo had turned mad whereas instructing a category." An officer was then given a video that confirmed "Carlos putting a scholar that was sitting in a chair. The coed was struck on his again," based on a police reserving affidavit.

The affidavit doesn't establish the varsity, however Castillo is listed on the Salem Hills Excessive College web site as a regulation enforcement trainer, the arresting officer is listed as the varsity's on-campus useful resource officer, and the affidavit says after the coed was hit, Castillo was discovered "within the driver's seat of his automobile in the highschool parking zone."

When the officer requested Castillo to step out of his automotive, he famous that Castillo "had slurred speech" and an odor of alcohol on his breath, based on the arrest report.

"I requested Carlos if he had drank alcohol and he acknowledged he had. Carlos acknowledged he had a couple of drinks earlier within the morning," the affidavit states.

Police say Castillo refused to do discipline sobriety checks and was positioned beneath arrest.

Thursday afternoon, the Nebo College District confirmed that Castillo taught regulation enforcement at Salem Hills, Spanish Fork and Payson Excessive colleges. The district mentioned directors have been made conscious of the allegations on Wednesday and are grateful for native regulation enforcement for taking rapid motion.
