Photos: Bay Area festivals and clean-ups celebrate annual Earth Day

Nature lovers throughout the Bay Space took half in trash clean-ups and out of doors festivals Saturday to commemorate Earth Day, the 54th annual international celebration of environmental stewardship.

At Cupertino’s Earth Day & Arbor Day Competition at Library Discipline Park, households loved arts and crafts, mountaineering partitions and a nature-themed cellular library. In the meantime in Berkeley, volunteers with buckets and pick-up sticks clambered alongside the waterfront close to the Shorebird Park Nature Middle. They celebrated with a competition of their very own later within the day with stay music and free boat rides by the shoreline.
