Two individuals are lifeless and one is hospitalized after photographs have been fired and a home caught fireplace in North Ogden on Thursday.
North Ogden police stated officers responded to a house at 3220 Mountain Highway at 6:30 p.m. after neighbors reported listening to as many as 15 photographs fired.
When officers arrived, Police Chief Dirk Quinney stated a person exited the home and began firing at them, prompting officers to fireside again. The suspect was struck by the gunfire and later confirmed lifeless.
After the capturing had ended, officers realized the home had caught on fireplace, Quinney stated. Witnesses captured pictures and video of the burning constructing, displaying smoke and flames capturing out from the roof. Hearth officers say the home was an entire loss, however the fireplace was contained to at least one residence.
Quinney stated two victims have been discovered inside the home: a person who was declared lifeless and a lady who was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The lady is now in secure situation, Quinney stated.
