Watch: SF Giants star Joc Pederson hits ball through fielder’s glove

San Francisco Giants star outfielder Joc Pederson discovered a sure-fire solution to get on base: hit the ball so onerous it rips proper via the fielder’s glove. That’s what he did within the third inning of the Giants’ sport in opposition to the Chicago White Sox Wednesday. White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn thought he caught the onerous line drive solely to observe it exit the webbing of his glove and bounce behind him. The exit velocity off of Pederson’s bat was 109 mph, in accordance with announcers. The play, initially known as a success, was later dominated an error by the White Sox.

Apparently that is no fluke. Final season, Pederson had the second highest exit velocity amongst all lefties in Main League Baseball at 93.2 mph.
