President Nelson announces 15 new temples to close conference

Throughout Sunday’s afternoon session of the 193rd Annual Common Convention of The Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-day Saints, President Russell M. Nelson introduced that 15 extra temples shall be constructed the world over.

The temples shall be constructed within the following places:

  • Retalhuleu, Guatemala
  • Iquitos, Peru
  • Teresina, Brazil
  • Natal, Brazil
  • Tuguegarao Metropolis, Philippines
  • Iloilo, Philippines
  • Jakarta, Indonesia
  • Hamburg, Germany
  • Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
  • San Jose, California
  • Bakersfield, California
  • Springfield, Missouri
  • Winchester, Virginia
  • Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

In April 2022, 17 new temples have been introduced by President Nelson. In October, 18 extra temples have been introduced, bringing the church to 300 temples that have been introduced, underneath development or in operation on the finish of 2022.

With the temples introduced Sunday, the church’s present grand whole in 2023 is 315 temples which have been introduced, are underneath development or are in operation.
