Man killed in Amtrak train collision in Solano County

A person was killed Tuesday morning when his car struck an Amtrak practice in Dixon.

He was recognized by the Solano County Coroner’s Workplace as Arturo Gonzalez, 59, of Dixon.

The incident occurred round 9:20 a.m. at Tremont and Robben roads.

In accordance with an Amtrak official, Amtrak practice 531 was occupied by 62 passengers and crew members when it was struck by the car.

The locomotive separated from the passenger automobiles, the official continued, however no main harm was reported. As properly, no accidents had been reported.

Riders had been subsequently transferred to various transportation and continued on their journeys.
