OAKLAND — Fireplace crews labored early Friday to place out a hearth at a homeless camp that authorities mentioned compelled them to shut a freeway on-ramp.
The hearth was within the space of the twenty seventh Avenue on-ramp to state Freeway 24 and Interstate 980, in response to the Oakland Fireplace Division and California Freeway Patrol.
