A heatwave is approaching California this week, threatening to quickly soften a document snowpack and trigger flooding dangers within the state’s Central Valley.
The Sierra Nevada’s snowpack is among the “state’s deepest snowpack ever recorded,” The Los Angeles Instances reported. Because it melts, the runoff is predicted to hit the San Joaquin Valley, which is already flooding.
