A rare T. rex skeleton is up for auction

Are you a fan of dinosaurs? A large skeleton of the Tyrannosaurus rex is happening public sale when you have a couple of million dollars to spare.

Consultants speculate it's going to go for round $5.43 million when it goes on public sale in Zurich, Switzerland, on April 18, CNN reported.

Why is the T. rex skeleton named TRX-293 Trinity?

“The title of this skeleton is ‘Trinity’, as a result of it’s constructed out of three people and all have been discovered within the U.S.,” Cyril Koller, proprietor of the public sale home conducting the sale, informed CNN.

The skeleton “dates again 67 million years,” Republic World reported.

The numbers 293 return to the 293 bones it has in its skeletal construction, per Reuters.

Who will purchase the T. rex skeleton?

A personal purchaser will probably buy the T. rex skeleton, however Koller believes the general public will nonetheless probably get a possibility to see it sooner or later, per CNN.

“It’s not a solid or a duplicate, it’s the unique. And there are only a few, only a few,” Hans Jacob-Siber, a paleontologist for the Aathal Dinosaur Museum, informed Reuters. “In actual fact, till about 1970 or 1980, there was once lower than a dozen Tyrannosaurus, most of them have been already in United States’ museums.”
