Drivers on the State Route 4 in Brentwood might face delays and detours beginning Friday as Caltrans installs a bicycle and pedestrian bridge that can span over the highway to attach two ends of the Mokelumne Path.
The overcrossing shall be situated south of Lone Tree Means and north of Sand Creek Street.
Years within the making, the bridge will shut the hole within the path created twenty years in the past when Freeway 4 was expanded.
