Cast your vote in the Bay Area News Group’s comics contest

For 2 weeks, we’ve stuffed the emptiness on our comics pages with one thing new. Mercury Information and East Bay Instances readers have had Unfastened Components, a witty, offbeat strip by award-winning artist Dave Blazek. Marin Impartial Journal readers have loved the wry, heartwarming Grand Avenue from Pulitzer nominee Mike Thompson. However Blazek and Thompson aren’t the one gifted artists on the market. We’re hoping you’ll assist make the ultimate determination.

Right now and over the weekend, we’ll take 4 comics for a spin:

  • Crabgrass, Tauhid Bondia’s participating strip set in pre-cellphone suburbia
  • F Minus, Tony Carrillo’s quirky take a look at on a regular basis life
  • Grand Avenue, Thompson’s story of twins being raised by their grandmother
  • Unfastened Components, Blazek’s tackle oddball characters in surprising conditions

You’ll discover the quirky quartet in print editions of the Mercury Information and East Bay Instances on March 16, 18 and 19 — with a vote by mail poll working on the nineteenth. However subscribers can vote right here as a substitute. (One poll per family, please.) Polling closes March 22 at 3 p.m. Pacific time.
