A home hearth within the Bay Level neighborhood of East Contra Costa County despatched one resident to the hospital for burns and smoke inhalation.
The Contra Costa County Hearth Safety District responded to a two-alarm hearth at 108 Gibson Ave. at 3:22 p.m. The reason for the hearth is unknown right now, however CON hearth PIO Tracie Dutter mentioned it began in an upstairs bed room.
Two residents within the residence tried to place out the hearth, and one was despatched to a close-by hospital for burns and smoke inhalation.
