Nearly 3,000 pounds of illegal marijuana seized in Oregon

JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Oregon (KPTV) — Almost 3,000 kilos of processed unlawful marijuana was seized from two properties throughout a bust in Cave Junction final week, based on Oregon State Police.

On Nov. 2, drug enforcement groups served search warrants at a property within the 8600 block of Caves Freeway and within the 3700 block of Holland Loop Highway.

On the Caves Freeway property, detectives seized 960 kilos of processed unlawful marijuana, seven firearms, about eight kilos of unlawful THC extracts, and one cargo trailer. In accordance with OSP, proof of unlawful marijuana exportation from Oregon was additionally discovered on the property.

OSP stated 30-year-old James Rossi was arrested and booked into the Josephine County Jail on costs of possession of marijuana and manufacture of marijuana.

On the Holland Loop Highway property, detectives discovered a firearm, 916 unlawful marijuana vegetation, and about 2,000 kilos of dried processed unlawful marijuana. OSP stated 5 folks had been detained, interviewed, and later launched.
