Mill Valley police investigate riotous drinking party with over 100 juveniles

An alcohol-fueled celebration involving greater than 100 youths led to a chaotic rampage in Mill Valley that injured a sheriff’s deputy, police stated.

The celebration occurred Saturday evening on Ashford Avenue, the Mill Valley Police Division stated. Police acquired a report of 100 to 200 youths yelling, ingesting alcohol and throwing bottles within the space.

Police discovered youths alongside Ashford Avenue and within the CVS parking zone close to East Blithedale Avenue. Officers tried to disperse the gang and commenced citing minors who had alcohol.

“Throughout this time, the gang was transferring out and in of CVS and throwing cans and bottles at officers within the space,” the division stated in an announcement. “As officers tried to soundly disperse the gang, juveniles started leaping on a police automotive, throwing further objects and surrounding police automobiles.”
