OAKLAND — A 40-year-old man was shot and robbed of his necklace early Saturday within the Uptown district, authorities mentioned.
The person was in secure situation at a hospital recovering from a gunshot wound to his arm.
The person informed police he was strolling within the 2500 block of Telegraph Avenue about 12 a.m. Saturday when a masked man confronted him and demanded his necklace.
The person informed police when he tried to withstand the suspect pulled a gun and shot him. The suspect then grabbed the person’s necklace off his neck and ran away.
An in depth description of the suspect was not launched.
