Six younger musicians kicked off their Thanksgiving break with a uncommon alternative: performing a solo with the Utah Symphony.

Gratitude for the humanities was on the forefront of the Utah Symphony’s 62nd annual Salute to Youth live performance Wednesday evening. After numerous pages of music and countless hours of follow and memorization — to not point out a rigorous audition course of — musicians starting from ages 12 to 18 took the Abravanel Corridor stage to showcase their expertise with the Utah Symphony.
