3 keys to BYU’s loss to USC

BYU fell behind by as many as 18 factors within the second half to USC, and regardless of making a run within the closing minutes the Cougars misplaced to the Trojans 82-76 at The Battle 4 Atlantis in The Bahamas. BYU dropped to 3-2 whereas USC improved to 4-1.

  • BYU shot simply 40% from the ground within the second half in comparison with 62% for USC. For the sport, the Cougars made solely 14 of twenty-two from the free throw line. 
  • USC guard Boogie Ellis tied his career-high with 27 factors. He hit 7 of 9 from the ground and 13 of 17 from the free throw line.
  • The Cougars have been led by Spencer Johnson’s 18 factors and Jaxson Robinson’s 16 factors. Robinson knocked down 4 3-pointers.
