Stockton police department arrest suspect in California serial killer case

The Stockton Police Division introduced on Fb that it has made an arrest within the Stockton, California, serial killer case. Police initially suspected that there was a serial killer as a result of six people had been killed from July into September. On Saturday, the division introduced the arrest of Wesley Brownlee, 43, on suspicion of murder fees.

The police division mentioned, “Based mostly on suggestions coming into the division and Stockton Crime Stoppers, we had been capable of zero in on a potential suspect. Our surveillance group adopted this individual whereas he was driving. We watched his patterns and decided early this morning; he was on a mission to kill. He was out looking. He was stopped by our personal group within the space of Village Inexperienced Drive and Winslow Avenue round 2 am this morning.”

The police haven't stopped their investigation and can proceed to research.

Based on ABC 10, Brownlee will probably be arraigned on Tuesday and can face extra fees then. When Brownlee was arrested, he was carrying darkish clothes, had a masks round his neck and was armed.

NPR reported that Brownlee was arrested on suspicion of killing six males and wounding one girl: “Investigators have mentioned ballistics assessments and video proof linked the crimes.” Whereas the Stockton serial killer was beforehand thought probably to be linked to 2 Chicago murders, authorities now say that it doesn't look like that's the case.
