Canine costume contest
The Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with theDoghood, is presenting a Halloween Canine Parade and Costume Contest on Oct 28, 4-6:30 p.m.
The parade steps off in entrance of the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, 14460 Massive Basin Manner, and strikes by means of the Saratoga Village to Blaney Plaza for the canine costume contest.
Contest classes are most artistic, funniest and greatest associates look-alike. The prizes will probably be introduced at 6 p.m.
‘Crucible’ at SHS
Saratoga Excessive College is staging Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” Nov. 12 and 17-18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. and seven:30 p.m. The manufacturing options 42 college students as solid and/or crew members. Performances are on the McAfee Heart on the Saratoga Excessive campus.
A contemporary allegory for Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s “Crimson Scare” anti-Communist crusades of the Fifties, “The Crucible” is a partially fictionalized story of the Salem witch trials that passed off within the Massachusetts Bay Colony within the late 1600s.Miller’s play follows a bunch of ladies who accuse upstanding men and women on the town of witchcraft to divert suspicion from their very own actions.

Pure connection
The Santa Clara Valley Open House Authority is accepting functions for its City Grant Program. The grant program goals to fund tasks that may enhance the standard of life by growing entry to nature for city residents.
This system is predicted to offer a complete of $1.5 million, allotted roughly evenly between program and capital mission grants. Functions are due Feb. 9, 2023, for the previous and Feb. 23, 2023, for the latter.
