4 members of the family from Merced had been discovered useless Wednesday night in a central California orchard, two days after they had been kidnapped from their enterprise.

1/ Round 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3: Surveillance video confirmed a person forcing the 4 individuals right into a truck at a trucking and car storage enterprise in south Merced. The lads — Jasdeep Singh, 36, and Amandeep Singh, 39 — had their palms zip-tied, then Jasdeep Singh’s spouse, Jasleen Kaur, 27, was led out of the workplace carrying the couple’s 8-month-old daughter.

2/ 11:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3: Amandeep Singh’s pickup truck was discovered deserted and burning at a rural crossroads. Merced police contacted his family, who weren’t in a position to attain him by telephone. Round 1 p.m., Merced County sheriff’s deputies went to the enterprise on Freeway 59 and found the 4 had been lacking.

3/ Tuesday, Oct. 4. A person matching the outline of the kidnapper used an ATM card belonging to one of many victims at an unspecified financial institution in Atwater. When deputies discovered the suspect — Jesus Manuel Salgado, 48 —  at a house in Atwater, he was critically injured, apparently having tried to kill himself.

4/ 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5: A farmworker discovered the 4 our bodies in an orchard alongside Indiana Highway north of the group of Dos Palos.
