A 38-year-old man by chance shot himself within the higher leg whereas at a Brooklyn Park corn maze on Saturday morning, police mentioned.
The unintended capturing occurred at 11:43 a.m. on the Twin Cities Corn Maze at 8001 109th Ave. N.
The person had been close to the corn pit — a pile of shelled corn akin to a sandbox — and was bending over on the waist eradicating corn from his boot when the firearm he was carrying on his hip discharged, in accordance with a press launch from the Brooklyn Park Police Division.
Detectives are nonetheless working to find out why the firearm discharged.
The person was taken to the hospital.
Police say he had a legitimate allow to hold and was legally carrying the firearm. No different accidents or property harm was reported. The pageant resumed regular operation after the incident.
