San Jose: Magnitude 3.5 quake rattles remote end of county park

SAN JOSE — A shallow earthquake registering 3.5 magnitude rumbled beneath a South Bay county park however didn't trigger any accidents or seen injury, the U.S. Geological Survey mentioned Sunday.

The quake struck at 4:55 p.m. at a depth of about 4.3 miles, and was centered underneath the Foothill and Resort trails within the southern finish of Joseph D. Grant County Park.

There have been no stories of accidents, injury or different disruptions within the quake.

USGS scientists have predicted a 63 p.c probability of a magnitude 6.7 or bigger quake putting the Bay Space within the subsequent 30 years.
