A brand new-ish Greek restaurant recognized for brandy-flamed saganaki and grilled octapodaki is already increasing to Walnut Creek.
Elia, the seasonal Greek restaurant established in 2021 in Pleasanton, is opening a second location within the former Lokanta Grill & Bar house at 1521 Locust St. in Walnut Creek. House owners Fatih Ulas and Chef Mehmet Duygu promise the same menu of upscale Greek and different Mediterranean-inspired dishes. They hope to open the doorways within the subsequent few months and convey a Mykonos and Santorini vibe to the town, Ulas says.
They’ll definitely accomplish that with the design, which is a chic model of the everyday blue-and-white Greek tavernas. In Pleasanton, the partitions are extremely white, with air vegetation, bamboo flooring, sun-bleached manzanita branches and servers wearing gentle khaki.
The refined menu is cut up into mezethes ($12-$24), soupa and salates ($11-$18) and kirio piato, or entrees ($28-$49). Lavraki, a semi-boneless grilled entire Mediterranean sea bass served with Israeli couscous and grilled eggplant, is among the many well-liked dishes. Particulars: www.eliapleasanton.com
