Photos: Bark in the Park returns to San Jose’s William Street Park

Emily Perez and her basset hound Frieda wearing complementary T-Rex and stegosaurus outfits for Saturday morning’s Bark within the Park look-alike contest.

However the prehistoric pair had been nearly an early scratch from the competitors when a confused canine competitor jumped up on its hind hound legs and practically popped Perez’ inflatable dinosaur costume.

For essentially the most half, the annual pooch lovefest at San Jose’s William Avenue Park was a drama-free affair.

Sure, Satan Canine, a Doberman pinscher named Ace, did make an over-the-top entrance sporting a vampire cape whereas seated in a towed pink coffin. That turned a couple of eyes. However so did the quite a few sombrero-wearing Chihuahua’s, bow-tied Pomeranians and tie-dyed doggies.

It appeared everybody wished to dress up for the primary Bark within the Park occasion since COVID canceled it in 2019.
