The California Freeway Patrol is investigating a deadly collision Saturday evening close to Kerman that will have been attributable to a DUI driver.

5 others, together with the motive force suspected of being below the affect, had been damage and rushed to Neighborhood Regional Medical Heart in Fresno.

The crash occurred about 9:18 p.m at Freeway 180 and Shasta Avenue and concerned a 2003 Honda and a 2017 Acura. The roadway was closed till 2 a.m. as investigators scoured the scene for proof.

Antonio Orosco, 27, of Fresno was arrested on suspicion of drug impairment and vehicular manslaughter on the hospital, the CHP mentioned.

A 20-year-old Mendota girl driving the Acura was killed. She was within the Acura with 4 passengers — two of them age 21 and the others 20 and 14. All are from Mendota.

The CHP reported that Orosco was driving west on 180, east of Shasta, because the Acura headed east. The Honda veered into the oncoming lane, straight into the trail of the Acura, and the 2 autos collided.

The driving force of the Acura died on the scene and three passengers suffered main accidents. Accidents to the fourth had been described as average.
