Hayward: Fatal shooting victim is identified

HAYWARD — A person killed in an Aug. 21 capturing was recognized by police Wednesday as Nicholas Moriwaki, 18, of Hayward.

A motive for the killing has not but been launched and no arrests have been introduced by police.

Moriwaki was discovered about 9:52 p.m. Aug. 21 inside a car that had crashed into some parked automobiles within the 2500 block of Oliver Drive, a primarily residential space.

He had been shot a number of instances; paramedics pronounced him useless on the scene.

Police stated one other one that had been contained in the car with Moriwaki was discovered within the space unhurt. That individual’s age and relationship to Moriwaki weren't launched.
