San Rafael police investigating a hit-and-run collision found that the motive force allegedly dedicated identification theft to buy the $99,000 automobile.
Police went to BioMarin at 770 Lindaro St. early Monday morning to analyze the collision and located the automobile, a 2022 Infiniti QX80, within the space.
The motive force, 42-year-old San Rafael lady, was below the affect of medicine and knocked over a lightweight pole, stated police Lt. Scott Eberle.
Officers arrested her on suspicion of intoxicated driving and searched the automobile, discovering identifications, checks, allegedly stolen bank card data and different potential proof of fraud, Eberle stated.
The lady admitted to stealing somebody’s identification to purchase and register the automobile from Infiniti of Marin, in addition to “varied unreported cases of identification theft, bank card fraud, test fraud, false impersonation, forgery and grand theft,” Eberle stated.
The Infiniti had been stolen at one level, and the girl reported it stolen below the faux title with which she had bought it, Eberle stated. It was recovered in San Francisco.
The suspect was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of seven fraud-related felonies and DUI, Eberle stated. She was not listed as being in custody Wednesday, and didn't reply to messages at a quantity listed as hers.
