DeSOTO, Texas (AP) — A buyer at a restaurant and leisure venue in suburban Dallas fatally shot a safety guard after arguing over the enterprise’ guidelines, police mentioned.
Derek Phillips, 47, of Arlington, died after being shot a number of instances about 10 p.m. Friday at Brickhouse Lounge in DeSoto, police Lt. Chris Huerta mentioned Saturday.
Phillips, who was not armed, was shot with a handgun, Huerta mentioned.
Huerta mentioned police had been nonetheless making an attempt to find out the character of the argument.
The suspected gunman, Toussel Kuhn, 48, of Savannah, was arrested on a homicide warrant after fleeing the scene, then crashing his car in neighboring Glenn Heights, in line with Huerta.
Kuhn was shot and wounded by a bystander as he fled, Huerta mentioned. The bystander, whose title was not instantly launched, was not arrested.
Kuhn was handled at a hospital, then arrested and brought to the Dallas County jail the place he was being held with out bond. Jail data didn't record an lawyer who may communicate on his behalf.
