A person was killed by the third in a fast sequence of crashes on a Daly Metropolis freeway connector, the California Freeway Patrol mentioned.
The primary of the crashes was reported at 7:03 a.m. Tuesday on the connector from northbound Freeway 1 to southbound Interstate 280: A Toyota Scion had run right into a barrier and was stopped on the ramp.
Moments later, a Nissan Sentra on the single-lane ramp bumped into the Scion. The Sentra’s driver had simply stepped onto the roadway when a Toyota Yaris struck him and his automobile.
The Sentra’s driver was taken to a hospital, the place he died from his accidents, the CHP mentioned.
The ramp, simply north of the Serramonte shopping center, was closed for almost two hours.
