Man beaten to death while walking to Oakland home is identified

OAKLAND — A person overwhelmed to loss of life Sunday morning as he was strolling to his East Oakland residence was recognized by police Tuesday as 29-year-old Rolando Jacinto Carrillo.

Authorities stated Jacinto Carrillo had come to Oakland from his native Guatemala about 4 months in the past and was dwelling with family. Police had been instructed he was working as a laborer and was sending a reimbursement to his household in Guatemala.

Authorities stated he was strolling residence from visiting a good friend and was lower than a half-mile from his residence when he was attacked and overwhelmed to loss of life about 5:30 a.m. Sunday within the 2100 block of ninetieth Avenue between Bancroft Avenue and Sunnyside Road. The neighborhood is a mix of small companies and residences.

He was discovered on the roadway between some parked automobiles and was pronounced useless on the scene.

Murder investigators are nonetheless making an attempt to find out why Jacinto Carrillo was attacked.  No arrests have been made.
