Illness interrupts O’Rourke campaign for Texas governor

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Texas Democratic gubernatorial nominee Beto O’Rourke mentioned Sunday that he had cleared his marketing campaign schedule after receiving therapy at a San Antonio hospital for an unspecified bacterial an infection.

In a press release tweeted Sunday by his marketing campaign, O’Rourke mentioned he sought therapy at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio after feeling sick Friday.

Intravenous antibiotic infusions improved his signs, O’Rourke mentioned.

“Whereas my signs have improved, I will probably be resting at dwelling in El Paso in accordance with the medical doctors’ suggestions,” he mentioned. “I'm sorry to have needed to postpone occasions due to this, however (I) promise to be again on the highway as quickly as I'm ready.”

O’Rourke continues to path Republican Gov. Greg Abbott in opinion polls earlier than the Nov. 8 normal elections.
