Gilroy man killed in rollover crash on State Route 156

HOLLISTER – A 27-year-old Gilroy man was killed in a rollover crash early Sunday in Hollister, in line with the California Freeway Patrol.

The solo-vehicle collision was reported at 12:50 a.m. on State Route 156 east of Buena Vista Highway, the CHP mentioned in a information launch.

Investigators decided the person was driving a 2005 Chevrolet westbound on the freeway when he veered to the proper, left the roadway and hit a fence, in line with the CHP. The car then overturned and burst into flames.

The CHP mentioned the person – and solely occupant of the car – was ejected and died of his accidents. The coroner division of the San Benito County Sheriff’s Workplace will launch the person’s id as soon as his subsequent of kin is notified.

As of Monday morning, it was not recognized if medicine or alcohol performed a job within the crash.

The investigation is continuous and the CHP is asking anybody who witnessed the collision to contact Officer M. Ruiz at 408-848-2324.
