A new Walnut Creek bakery with pavlova, prosciutto sticks and pretzel-wrapped hot dogs

There’s one more new bakery in Contra Costa County with distinctive savory and candy choices.

Danville’s Indonesian-themed gem, East Bay Bakery, opened a couple of weeks in the past to throngs of croissant followers. Now, European Delights Bakery, which is positioned at 2236A Oak Grove Street in Walnut Creek, is reviving the Citrus Market with a complete menu that features freshly-baked muffins, muffins, pretzels, candy and savory brioches and hard-to-find treats, like eggplant pastries and a Romanian pretzel-wrapped scorching canine known as a covridog.

The family-owned bakery, which opened in late July, presents a formidable lineup of brioches — mushroom, feta and spinach, berry — beginning at $5 every and morning buns brimming with honey and walnuts or poppy seeds ($6 every). Additionally search for carrot or oatmeal muffins ($5), contemporary fruit pavlova ($4.75-$9.75) and one other Romanian dish, a cheese-stuffed pastry known as a poale-n-brau.

European Delights is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and till 4 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Discover extra info at https://european-delights.com.
