Photos: Over a hundred dance in downtown San Jose for CityDance

CityDance San Jose attracted over 100 dancers to the Circle of Palms to study Bollywood dancing outdoors the San Jose Museum of Artwork. Akshay Savale, director of Starrz Dance Academy of Performing Arts, a Bollywood Dance firm primarily based in Cupertino, led a gaggle in a step-by-step tutorial on tips on how to dance to a number of songs.

Dancers of all ages jumped, jiggled and swung their arms because the solar set over the palm timber, together with a spry 92-year-old J.F. White, who danced all through the night.

The month-to-month sequence kicked off with salsa in June, Bollywood this month, adopted by cumbia (Aug. 18) and Ok-pop (Sept. 15). Dancing begins at 6 p.m. and goes till 9 p.m. The dancing is free, and so is admission to the San Jose Museum of Artwork on CityDance nights.
