Oak Fire Photos: Mariposa County wildfire near Yosemite burns homes, threatens 2,000 more

The Oak Fireplace that started Friday, July 22, 2022 in Mariposa County exploded to greater than 6,500 acres, forcing residents within the hills close to Yosemite to flee. Firefighters reported zero containment on Saturday morning as winds despatched embers into the air, setting extra spot fires forward of the principle fireplace.
