Site visitors strikes alongside state Route 201 throughout rush hour in Salt Lake Metropolis on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022. New lane filtering legal guidelines enable bikes to drive up between lanes of site visitors when autos are stopped. Kristin Murphy, Deseret Information
Over time, the Utah Legislature has handed some nice legal guidelines and a few not-so-great legal guidelines.
One not-so-great regulation is the regulation making it authorized for bike drivers to drive their bikes between lanes of site visitors on the roadways. There's barely sufficient room for a automobile or truck to journey down a lane of site visitors not to mention having a bike creep up in your left or proper aspect, and the horrendous noise a bike makes is usually jarring and downright terrifying. I really feel the individuals of Utah could be higher served if this regulation was rescinded.
