Caltrain service interrupted by string of vegetation fires

BRISBANE – A string of fires close to the Caltrain tracks interrupted service Tuesday afternoon, in keeping with the commuter rail line.

Beginning round 3:53 p.m., vegetation fires had been reported alongside the Caltrain hall in Brisbane, Millbrae, Burlingame, San Carlos and Atherton, Caltrain stated in an announcement.

Trains in these areas had been stopped and no less than half a dozen others had been delayed as much as 80 minutes.

The final hearth was extinguished at 5:13 p.m. and the tracks had been reopened at 5:39 p.m., in keeping with the commuter rail line.

“Caltrain is grateful for the devoted efforts of first responders, and is working with hearth officers to find out the reason for this incident,” Caltrain stated within the assertion.

Fires in Brisbane had been reported at 3:49 p.m. at 511 Tunnel Ave. and 600 Tunnel Ave, in keeping with the North County Hearth Authority.
