Brittney Griner’s detention extended by a month

MOSCOW (AP) — The lawyer for WNBA star Brittney Griner mentioned Friday her pre-trial detention in Russia has been prolonged by one month.

Griner’s lawyer Alexander Boikov advised The Related Press he believed the comparatively quick extension of the detention indicated the case would come to trial quickly.
