Road rage attack: Driver chases woman onto lawn, runs her over

After a fender-bender in a New Jersey neighborhood, a driver allegedly chased a pedestrian onto a garden and ran her over along with his automobile a minimum of 3 times earlier than fleeing.

The 23-year-old girl survived the assault. The suspect was discovered that morning in his broken SUV and arrested on suspicion of tried homicide.

The assault was set off by an encounter round 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on a slim residential road in Elizabeth. The person, apparently trying to avoid a site visitors jam, was backing up his Mitsubishi SUV so he may flip onto a aspect road. He reversed into the girl’s automobile, inflicting minor harm.

The alleged driver, a 56-year-old Elizabeth man, was discovered sitting alone in his SUV a couple of mile from the scene of the assault.

He has been charged with first-degree tried homicide, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault with a lethal weapon, third-degree assault by auto, third-degree leaving the scene of a motorized vehicle accident with critical bodily harm, third-degree endangering an injured sufferer and third-degree possession of a weapon for an illegal objective, the Union County Prosecutor’s Workplace mentioned. He's scheduled to seem in courtroom Tuesday.
