Northbound 101 in Santa Rosa reopens after fatal crash

SANTA ROSA — The California Freeway Patrol reopened northbound U.S. Freeway 101 in Santa Rosa following a deadly collision early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a 1:59 a.m. report of the collision involving a number of autos and shortly started diverting northbound visitors off the freeway on the Yolanda Avenue off-ramp, in response to the CHP visitors web site.

The CHP reopened the northbound freeway at 3:52 a.m. following an investigation.

An occupant of 1 car was declared useless on the scene at 2:12 a.m.
