A person was killed Thursday when he drove into Zayante Creek north of Felton, the California Freeway Patrol mentioned.
The only-vehicle crash was reported at 11:01 a.m. on Quail Hole Highway on the Zayante Creek bridge.
A 78-year-old man from Ben Lomond was driving a 2013 Kia Soul south on Quail Hole when the automobile veered off the roadway and down a mud embankment. It hit an influence pole’s man wire, then continued down the embankment into the creek.
The person was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
The automobile was 50 ft off the street and submerged within the creek, and its elimination took nearly three hours.
