Gabrielle Whelan has been named the brand new Los Gatos city lawyer .
Whelan has been a training lawyer for greater than 25 years at each in-house and personal corporations. She beforehand served because the assistant metropolis lawyer for the Metropolis of San Mateo.
“On behalf of the council, we're excited to welcome Ms. Whelan to Los Gatos,” Mayor Rob Rennie mentioned in an announcement. “She brings glorious experience in municipal authorized issues, significantly relating to land use, housing, environmental evaluation, employment, elections and different technical areas.”
Whelan will change former city lawyer Rob Shultz, who retired in December and is serving because the interim city lawyer. Schultz is the fifth government worker to depart Los Gatos previously 5 months.
City Council will vote on approving Whelan’s employment settlement on Tuesday, April 5. She’s slated to begin Could 16.
