Gilroy woman killed in Highway 129 crash

WATSONVILLE — A 57-year-old Gilroy lady was killed Wednesday in a multi-vehicle collision on Freeway 129, west of Previous Chittenden Street.

Driver Rosalba Gonzalez was touring eastbound shortly after 4 p.m. on Freeway 129 in a 2016 Nissan Sentra when she and a driver touring in the wrong way collided head-on, in response to the California Freeway Patrol. Gonzalez died on the scene after struggling main accidents, in response to the CHP.

The second automobile, a 2014 Honda Odyssey, was pushed by a 28-year-old Watsonville man who suffered main accidents and was transported to a Monterey County trauma heart, in response to the CHP.

A 3rd driver, a 54-year-old Royal Oaks man touring westbound on Freeway 129 in a 1992 Acura Integra, later crashed into the Honda, in response to the CHP. The person additionally was transported to an out-of-county trauma heart for therapy of reasonable accidents, the company stated.

Police investigators on Thursday morning had not but decided the reason for the preliminary crash or if medicine and/or alcohol had been an element within the collision.
